Here are some sites I
like, if you know of some other places you think I'd enjoy, feel free to
contact me.
nature works… Doug Subbiondo
is not only a great natural gardener (and sometimes collaborator), he’s
also a vegan chef, and an inspiration to living the green life, brimming with
love and a sense of humor. Check out the many facets of this very San
Franciscan model and don’t miss the recipes.
Annie's Annuals... has a huge 'not your run of the
mill' selection, lots of California natives, with photos and descriptions. I
can easily spend hours pouring over the site dreaming up my next purchase. If
I was limited to one nursery, this would be it.
FineGardening.com... Fine Gardening is a fancy, but informative, magazine from
Taunton Press. The main thrust of the sit is to sell books and subscriptions
but there are free articles as well as a gardening forum. Getting registered
to the forum took some perseverance; I'll let you know how I like it.
GardenWatchdog.com... is a customer rating site for gardening mail-order
businesses, and is part of the DavesGarden.com network of web sites.
KenDruse.com... Mr. Druse is a garden
writer/photographer I discovered in the magazine Garden Design. Some
of the selections from his 'Natural' book series have won awards from the
American Horticultural Society. He articulates my take on gardening.
My Native
Plants...
I just added this to
my Favorite Sites list, a must for any California gardeners looking to go
native. One feature lets you input your zip code and conditions and then
spits out a detailed list of suitable plants.
